Appeal for Kaivan X Fatakia
My name is Vistasp C Contractor, and I am writing to ask for financial assistance for my friend`s hospitalization and medical treatment.
Last week (19th October 15, Monday), my friend Kaivan X Fatakia age 30 years was examined with having Blood Cancer (AML) by Dr. Farah Jijina- Consultant Clinical Haematologist & Hemato Oncologist/Â P. D. Hinduja Hospital Mumbai.
The doctor said that he needed to be admitted at the earliest and to start treatment immediately as his platelets count had dropped and was continuously dropping and that the numbers of the blast cells were increasing. However, we could not decide on admitting him immediately at P. D. Hinduja Hospital due to financial reasons as according to the doctor the bare minimum financial expense even at the general ward (no bed available) would soar above 50 lacs. We even tried getting a bed at Tata Memorial Hospital Parel but with no success as there was a long wait list.
Finally gaining confidence with a call from Mr. Bomi Bhote- CEO Ruby Hall Clinic Pune, asking us to immediately bring Kaivan to Ruby Hall Clinic Pune, where they under his personal care would start the treatment immediately and also that to him finance was not the immediate concern, I rushed Kaivan to Ruby Hall Clinic on 21st October 15, Wednesday.
Mr. Bomi Bhote has been an angel in disguise for Kaivan. Mr. Bhote gave me the confidence that there are many helpful Individuals and Trusts who support and provide financial assistance to individuals that need it and that we only need to approach them.
Mr. Bhote and Kaivan's family and I, humbly request your assistance to financially help Kaivan get through the hospitalization and medical treatment expenses estimated to INR 40lacs for 6 months treatment.
Kaivan is being treated under the care of Dr Vijay Ramanan (MBBS, MD, DM) Clinical Haematologist at Ruby Hall Clinic Pune (Cancer Wing/ Room No. 204).
To give you a little background of Kaivan X Fatakia.
Born on the 25th of April 1985 in pune to Mr. Xerxes & Mrs. Jaloo Fatakia (parsi family) as their second son. Kaivan lost his father in a bike accident (1998) at the very tender age of 13. His mother Mrs. Jaloo X Fatakia a retired school teacher (now) worked for 25 years at Dastoor School pune and has managed to single handedly educate and bring up the two boys.
Kaivan always being fond of sports excelled at Karate from the beginning, started training at the age of 7 years under the famous Karateka Shihan Vispy B Kapadia. Post his schooling Kaivan shifted to Mumbai to work with Shihan Vispy B Kapadia as a trainer and complete his college. He worked with Shihan Kapadia till December 2013 for 12 years, to moving on to starting his own training classes. In 2014, with International Karatedo Gojukai Association Japan having issues with Shihan Kapadia and having to let go off Shihan Kapadia from position of Head- Karatedo Gojukai India, Sensei Kaivan X Fatakai was approached and after a round of discussions and interviews was finally appointed as Head- Karatedo Gojukai India (June 2015).
Sensei Kaivan X Fatakia is a 4th Dan Black Belt from International Karatedo Gojukai Association Japan. He has represented the country and has achieved many medals at State/ National/ International levels. Sensei Kaivan has trained the Maharashtra Police and many other students across India. His students too are medal winners at national and international tournaments.
Sensei Kaivan X Fatakia is the youngest karateka across the world to be qualified and to hold a position of Country Head. It is extremely unfortunate that a healthy sportsman like himself has been diagnosed with such a virus just at the onset of his carrier as Head-Karatedo Gojukai India.
We humbly request your assistance to financially help Kaivan get through the hospitalization and medical treatment expenses and pray for a speedy recovery.
